Common Ground Community House - Al Saha is seeking a talented and passionate volunteer Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to our community projects that support newcomers and new Canadians by creating visually captivating materials. Your designs will play a crucial role in promoting our initiatives and fostering engagement within the community.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the community engagement team to understand project goals and objectives.

2. Create visually appealing designs for various materials, including flyers, brochures, posters, and promotional materials.

3. Develop engaging graphics and visuals for social media platforms and the organization's website.

4. Ensure that all designs adhere to the organization's brand guidelines, mission, and values.

5. Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to designs based on project requirements.

6. Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to align design materials with project objectives.

7. Communicate effectively with project partners and community members to understand their design needs and preferences.

8. Stay updated on industry trends and design best practices to continuously enhance the quality of design work.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent.

• Strong design skills with a keen eye for detail, layout, and typography.

• Creative mindset with the ability to translate project objectives into visually appealing designs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, partners, and community members.

• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

• Commitment to the mission and values of Common Ground Community House.

• Portfolio or samples of previous design work (if available) to showcase skills and creativity.
