Building Futures: Empowering New Canadians
We are Alsaha, a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering newcomers and New Canadians from all backgrounds, including those of Arabic descent. Our mission is to support individuals in shaping their identities as active citizens within Canadian society. Through civic engagement, community involvement, economic empowerment, and self-care initiatives, we strive to enrich the experiences of all newcomers as they embark on their journey to build a brighter future in Canada. Art and culture are our preferred tools, fostering unity, expression, and understanding among diverse communities
Promote civic inclusion and engagement
Alsaha recognizes that new Canadians often experience hesitancy or disconnection from engaging in the political process. It is crucial for community members, particularly in their early stages of integration, to learn about Canada's sociopolitical climate and the benefits of participating in social groups that advocate for community action. Alsaha aims to connect newcomers with community partners to enhance opportunities for civic engagement, helping to bridge the gap from hesitancy to active participation in the political and social spheres of Canadian society.
