Common Ground Community House - Al Saha is seeking a dedicated and skilled volunteer to join our team as a Grant and Proposal Writer. In this role, you will play a vital part in securing funding for our not-for-profit organization by writing compelling proposals and grants. Your efforts will directly contribute to our ability to support and empower our community.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct research to identify potential funding sources, including grants, foundations, and other relevant opportunities.

2. Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop a strategic approach for applying for grants and securing funding.

3. Write, edit, and proofread grant proposals and applications, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to guidelines.

4. Work closely with program managers and other team members to gather relevant information and data necessary for grant and proposal development.

5. Develop a thorough understanding of Common Ground Community House's mission, programs, and impact in order to effectively convey our organization's goals and needs to potential funders.

6. Maintain organized records of grant applications, deadlines, and outcomes.

7. Continuously stay updated on industry best practices and trends related to grant and proposal writing.

Requirements:

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling narratives.

• Strong research skills to identify relevant funding opportunities and gather supporting information.

• Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional editing and proofreading abilities.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.

• Commitment to the mission and values of Common Ground Community House.

• Professional demeanor and the ability to represent the organization positively.

• Experience in grant and proposal writing, preferably within the non-profit sector (preferred but not mandatory).
